Having Fun!

Hello Ladies! I have been having so much fun lately! Erik talked me into putting my journals on sale and boy has it paid off! ;) Ben asked me this morning..."Mommy what makes you happy?" and I said "making sales on my Etsy store!" It really does boost my outlook.

So these are just a couple pictures of projects I've done lately. Lots of Prayer Journals and Card Organizers. I always love to make these. They are just fun and I never know how their gonna turn out until their done. Each one is a surprise. ;) Plus I love using all the Scripture stamps I've collected.

This one is already sold. I have a customer who has been buying a bunch for her friends for Christmas! Isn't that a thoughtful gift.

This week I need to focus on goodies for the kids' classrooms and maybe a family Christmas card?! ;) Nothing like waiting til the last minute. Hope you are having a fun Christmas season, holding your loved ones tight and celebrating Jesus' Birthday!

Christmas hugs from me!

Trick or Treat...

Treat of course!! ;) I hope you are having a good Halloween. We don't really celebrate Halloween much. But of course having kids in public school you have to at least acknowledge the holiday.  And I AM one of those crafty Mommies that cannot just send candy to school with my kiddos. I have to embellish it! ;)

These are the treats I made for Carson's 3rd grade class. Kit Kats are his current favorite candy. These two tag dies are the best for making little treats or bookmarks. And you get to use a lot of scraps for the small punched parts.

I made these little cuties for both Ben's 1st grade class and Dalaina's pre-school. Pencils and a smartie. Cute! I love that my kids love to pass these out and share with their classmates.

Again, lots of punching and stamping. I used a ton of scraps up on these projects. Love that!

Well, Happy Halloween! Hope you have a great day!

Teacher Goodies

Here is a picture of my sweet son, Benjamin and his teacher Mrs. Harris. He is in first grade this year and he LOVES it! He also loves his teacher. ;) Since the second day of school he has come home and asked me if I have made anything yet that he could give her. So I had to get on it and make something!! And I can't just make something for one teacher, no that would be too easy, I have to make something for all my kids' teachers. So luckily this year we only have 4 teachers between my 3 kids. ;)

Target had these cute little baskets in their 'Dollar Spot'. I also picked up these tiny clothes pins there as well. Wish I had gotten more! I decorated the outside of the baskets and the clothes pins with some of the current fall dsp from Stampin' Up! To the backs of the clothes pins I added some self adhesive magnet so they can use them on the chalk boards or file cabinets.

Teachers need to relax, so I gave them each a tea bag holder with Scripture Tea and Sugar.  And what goes better with a cup of tea than a good book? So they each got a bookmark!

This is a magnet. I just clustered together a bunch of beautiful leaves from the current Stampin' Up! mini catalog. They turned out adorable!

Here are the goodies all put together. These were really fun to make and the teachers were all so surprised to get them. I'm glad my kid's like to give gifts to their teachers. They all work hard and we do appreciate them!!

Catching Up

Whew! The kids are back in school and now I have a bit of time each day to devote to crafting again! It has been a whirlwind of a summer with lots of changes in store for the Kowalker family. I hope to be sharing some of those changes with you all soon, here on my blog. I hope you all had a wonderful summer as well and are happily getting back into a school time routine. It just makes a world of difference to be on a schedule again. It's amazing what I can accomplish with 2-3 of my children NOT around. ;)

I don't have much creatively to show right now, the kids have only been back in school for 3 days. But I hope to share more regularly with you soon. I did however get to meet in person finally, Becky Roberts this weekend. We have been online 'friends' for about 5 years and she has been my Stampin' Up! upline for almost 3 of those years! Anyway, I love her and YES! she is every bit as sweet and spunky in person as she is online!

Here is one card I made recently that I used markers to ink the sentiment and love how it turned out. I always wondered how people did this technique until I got Stampin' Up! markers! NOT ALL MARKERS ARE CREATED EQUAL!! With Stampin' Up! markers you can color your stamp images and the ink stays on them til you stamp it on paper (you just give it a little 'huff' breath)! None of the markers I had tried before worked this way! It is so fun and cool, I just love the effect.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! God bless you! Now, do something creative!

Summer Birthday

I just think this card turned out delightful. I used the 'rock and roll' technique on the fabulous floret.

See the two colors on the flower: daffodil delight and island indigo. It's perty! ;)

 Dimentionals were a must here.

Thanks for lookin'! Have a blessed day!

ROAR!

I know it's already the end of the school year, but these little dinosaurs are so cute! I had to buy them for my kiddo's and I'm so glad I did.

I made these little 3x3 cards with lunch notes in mind. I love to surprise my son with a note in his lunch.

Their faces are so cute. ;)

Have a great day and thanks for stoppin' by!

Discontinued Accessory List Available

The Discontinued Accessory List was announced today.  You can see all the items HERE
If your favorites are on the list, order quickly.  Accessories are while supply lasts only.  Boo-hoo!
The list is HUGE but don't panic.  We already knew the Decor Elements and Simply Adorned lines were going to go as Stampin' Up! is shifting their focus back to their core papercrafting products (yeah!!).  You will also notice that all the stamp pads are shown on the discontinued list.  The colors are NOT changing!  The pad design is changing to a new improved  Firm Foam Pad.  The Firm Foam pads offer better ink coverage and, in turn, better stamped images.   The colors are all the same!
You will also notice a lot of 12 x 12 cardstock and markers on the hit list.  They are being reconfigured.  Not all 12" x 12" cardstock colors will be available in individual packs anymore. Color assortment packs will be available, and some colors from each color collection will be available in individual packs. Stampin’ Write Markers in more popular colors will still be available individually.  Color assortments packs will still be available.
So.. if you have a particular color of cardstock that you can't live without in 12 x 12 size, you better order Up!  Same with individual markers...get them while they last.
Here's the deal tho folks.  Even though you are seeing a lot of your favorite stamp sets and products going away.  In each new catalog Stampin' Up! always supplies us with fresh stamp sets and up to date accessories that make our projects fabulous.  It's ok, change is good (even though I do not like it!) and 6 months from now we won't even remember what was on that list!  Just keep stampin' and enjoying!!

This is also a Sale A Bration stamp set, only available until the end of April! And it's FREE with a $50 purchase!! I actually colored this stamp with my SU markers and look how beautiful that turned out! I'm gonna be using this technique more often.

So many details and layers added to this card. It's so elegant. I'm in love! ;)

MOJO Monday 231 Sketch

This I think, is my first time to participate in a Mojo Monday challenge! What great inspiration!

I used the current Stampin' Up! DSP, Twitterpated. Love it! And the Tea Shoppe stamp set. They pair perfectly together.

This card really is so 'me'. ;) The colors and the tea theme, that's just my thing!

I am trying to do more stamping inside of my cards as well. It finishes them off better I think.

Thanks for looking in today! Blessings to you!
